Samsung has added new Quantum Dot curved monitors to its lineup, including the CH711 Quantum Dot curved monitor. Aimed at gamers, but also usable for a variety of multimedia work, Samsung says this new model should be available early this year. The New Quantum Dot CH711 The CH711 will be available in 27- and 31.5-inch sizes. Samsung didn’t state the type of technology used in the display panel itself, but does say the monitor offers 178-degree viewing angles. This indicates it’s IPS, IGZO, or similar non-TN technology. Samsung also boasts of rich colors thanks to the monitor’s 125 percent sRGB color space coverage. The CH711 has a 1440p (2,560×1,440 pixels) resolution in both of its sizes, translating to about 78 percent more pixels than a traditional 1080p resolution.
